Line dance is social, fun and it’s accessible for everyone, whether you’ve never danced a step in your life - or whether you’re already a line dance lover! We’ll learn the basics together and start with some super easy routines, introducing new steps as we go. Really friendly group, great music and an amazing venue - what are you waiting for? Time: 7:30-8:30pm - line dancing starts at 7:30pm prompt!

Where: Brown and Green Café (upstairs), Crystal Palace Park, Thicket Road, SE20 8DS - please note: There are two Brown and Green cafés in Crystal Palace Park - our class is held upstairs in the café by the lake, NOT the café right outside the train station.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Wear whatever you feel comfortable dancing and moving around in. Lots of people tend to wear simple jeans and a comfortable t-shirt …cowboy boots and hats optional!

  • No problem! Absolutely no dance experience necessary. All the steps will be broken down for you before each dance - simply join in with as much or as little as you like.

  • Don’t forget to bring a bottle of water with you!

  • Our class is held upstairs in the café by the lake, NOT the café right outside Crystal Palace train station. The entrance is via Penge Gate on Thicket Road and is about a 5 minute walk from Penge West station. Although the car park will be closed, the pedestrian gate will be open. Those of you who are local will know that Crystal Palace Park is undergoing extensive redevelopment at the moment so don’t be alarmed at the various bits of orange builder’s fencing at the Penge Gate entrance - just head towards the building on your left …and follow the sound of the music!

  • The closest entrance to the Brown and Green Café is on Thicket Road at the end where Thicket Road meets Crystal Palace Park Road via Penge Gate. It’s about a 5 minute walk from Penge West station. Although the car park will be closed, the pedestrian gate will be open.   • Yes, there’s usually a decent amount of free street parking on the roads surrounding the park entrance, including Thicket Road.
